Raquel Olague Obituary, age 56, of Chicago, Illinois, peacefully passed away on June 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 11, 1970, she was the cherished daughter of the late Maria and Isidro Villarreal. Raquel dedicated her life to her family, her community, and her passions, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. A proud graduate of Curie High School in 1988, Raquel went on to serve her community as a timekeeper for the Chicago Police Department’s 9th District, a position she held until her retirement in 2024.
She was known for her dedication and integrity, always putting others before herself. Raquel’s greatest joy was spending quality time with her daughters Marlene, Maria, and Selena and her granddaughter Victoria. She loved attending live music events, where she enjoyed the vibrant energy of her favorite musicians. Raquel’s warm heart, radiant smile, and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Her deep unconditional love for her family was evident in everything she did. She is also survived by her sisters Theresa, Laura, and Sandra. Raquel was preceded in death by her husband Paco, her beloved dog Spanky, and her sisters Elisa and Anna.
Her memory will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wolniak Funeral Home, 5700 S. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 18, with chapel prayers beginning at 8:45 AM at Wolniak Funeral Home, followed by a procession to St. Jerome Catholic Church, 2823 S. Princeton Ave., Chicago, IL, where Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.Raquel’s memory will forever be treasured, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
