Kaylee Hathaway Obituary, Kaylee Kohler Hathaway, age 40, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Born on December 26, 1985, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was the beloved daughter of Karl Fredrick Kohler and Michelle Hebert. Kaylee’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family, her passions, and her faith.

A proud graduate of LaGrange High School in 2004, Kaylee made her mark as a talented softball player. Known for her determination, toughness, and competitive spirit, she earned All-District honors and the admiration of her teammates and coaches. She proudly wore jersey number 6, a tradition she cherished and passed down to her daughters—her youngest, Halle, continues to carry on that legacy today.

Softball remained a lifelong passion for Kaylee. She dedicated many years to coaching the sport she loved, finding joy in mentoring young athletes. She believed in building confidence and teaching life lessons both on and off the field. Throughout her coaching journey, her husband Adam was her steadfast partner and assistant coach, supporting her every step of the way.

Beyond softball, Kaylee’s greatest treasure was her family. She found immense happiness in raising her three daughters—Jenna, Kate, and Halle—and being a devoted wife. Her caring nature extended to her love for animals, especially her dog Marley, who was her constant companion for 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and crafting, often sharing her favorite recipes and flower arrangements with loved ones. An avid reader, she especially loved reading her Bible, children’s stories, and John Grisham novels. Her passion for music and candle making reflected her creative spirit.

Kaylee’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was devoted to her Heavenly Father Jehovah and lived her life with strength and humility. She leaves behind her husband of 19 years, Adam Hathaway; her daughters; her father and stepmother, Sheila; her sister Kimberly and brother-in-law Dustin; along with numerous extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Michelle Hebert, her brother Dustin Merriett, and her grandmother Olga Spillman. A celebration of Kaylee’s life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and the service at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kaylee’s love, kindness, and dedication touched many lives, and she will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
