Gary Duke Moran Obituary, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary “Duke” Moran, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, on June 17, 2026, at the age of 80. Gary left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service to his family and community. Born on October 4, 1945, in Rahway, New Jersey, Gary was the son of John and Lillian Moran. He grew up in a loving family and was educated at Rahway High School, graduating in 1964. Gary’s sense of duty and patriotism led him to join the United States Army, where he served with honor and distinction.
After his honorable discharge, Gary embarked on a successful career at PSE&G, working as a lineman for 35 years until his retirement in 2001. His hard work and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike. Gary “Duke” Moran is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Biggar Moran; his two sons, Gary F. Moran (wife Colleen) of Rutherford, NJ, and Thomas J. Moran fiancé Cheryl of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; and three cherished grandchildren, Gerald Moran, Declan Moran, and Lilyana Moran. He is also survived by four siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Gary’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on through the countless memories, stories, and lessons he shared with his family and friends. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. 2 p.m., at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, TN. All are welcome to come and pay their respects to this remarkable man.
