Donna M, Johnson Obituary, 83 Year passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Colonial Manor of Amana, surrounded by her family and her beloved dog Charlie. Her gentle spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born to Innocent and Martha Mehn Butz on September 23, 1942, in Indiana, Donna’s life was marked by kindness, dedication, and a love for family. She graduated from Amana High School and furthered her education at Secretarial College, setting the foundation for a career that reflected her work ethic and attention to detail.
On April 20, 1963, Donna was united in marriage to Kenneth Allan Johnson at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Norway. Their marriage spanned over five decades, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. They shared many joyful years together before Kenneth’s passing in 2017. Donna was also predeceased by their son, Scott Allan Johnson, and granddaughter, Alyssa Petersen. Donna’s career included working as a circuit breaker technician at Square D, where she demonstrated her skill and dedication before retiring. She also held a Ham Radio license, a hobby she embraced thanks to her husband’s encouragement, showcasing her curiosity and adventurous spirit.
Among her favorite pastimes was shopping at JC Penney’s, where she found joy in simple pleasures and staying connected with her community. She is survived by her daughters: Christine Ross Petersen of Van Horne, Cindy Jon Intribus of Stevens Point, WI, Shellie Shahid Rahman Johnson of Cedar Rapids, and Susan Johnson of Cedar Rapids. Donna was proud of her nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, with one more on the way, each representing a cherished part of her legacy. She also leaves behind her brothers: Fr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Norway, with Father Jacob Dunne and Father Joseph Butz C.S.S.R. officiating. Friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at the church. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
