John Davis Obituary, Ressident of Oswego Community in Jellico, Tennessee, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Born on March 29, 1971, in Corbin, Kentucky, Johnny was a beloved member of the Oswego Missionary Baptist Church and an inspiring presence in his community. Johnny was the creator and co-host of “Coffee Time with John and Momma,” a cherished daily online cooking show that combined delicious recipes, devotionals, and daily encouragement. With over 200,000 followers, his warmth, faith, and uplifting spirit touched countless lives across the nation.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Eugene Davis, and his grandparents, Walter and Frances Davis, Caleb “Kay” and Lena Davis. Also guiding his journey were uncles Carl Davis, Roy “Dutch” Davis, Eddie Jean “Muss” Davis, Walter “Sonny” Davis, and Mike Huddleston, along with his aunt Eleanor Bowlin and her husband Floyd “G” Bowlin, and cousins Teresa Lynn Hopkins, Michael Ray Davis, and Michael Parish.
Johnny leaves behind a loving and devoted mother, Frances “Tootsie” Davis, affectionately known as Momma, who was his guiding light. He was a caring and protective figure to his special niece, Heather Lay, who was like a daughter to him. His deep bond with cousins Wendall Hackler and wife Renee, Keith Hackler and wife Pam, and Melanie Monhollen and husband Bill showcased his enduring family ties. Johnny considered Terry Loudin and wife Esther like a brother, and his aunts Bernice Hackler and husband John, Retha Huddleston, Sue Davis, Bobbie Davis, and Ottie Davis, along with numerous cousins, held a special place in his heart.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Harp Funeral Home Chapel, with funeral services following at 3 p.m., officiated by Rev. Mike Douglas, Rev. James Hackler, and Rev. Mark Stanley. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery in Wooldridge Community, Jellico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oswego Missionary Baptist Church, P.O.
