Forest Park Families  are share the profound sadness and heartbreaking news of the passing of there beloved friend and longtime coworker, Melanie Thomas. Melanie tragically left us on the evening of Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Her loss is deeply felt by everyone who knew her, and it is a moment of great sorrow for our entire school community. Melanie was an integral part of our school family.

As a dedicated and creative Instructional Resource Teacher, she recently celebrated her 10th year of teaching. Her passion for her work was evident in everything she did. Melanie loved working with young students, especially those with exceptionalities. Her gentle, caring approach made a lasting difference in the lives of her students, their families, and her colleagues. She had a special gift for connecting with children, providing them with the support and encouragement they needed to thrive.
